Our Programs

The vision of the All India Mising Cultural Foundation is to establish a dynamic national platform dedicated to the preservation, promotion and global recognition of the rich cultural heritage, traditions, language and indigenous knowledge of the Mising community. The foundation aspires to nurture cultural excellence by encouraging creative expressions through film, music, dance, literature and traditional arts, while also revitalising endangered folk traditions and handloom heritage.


It seeks to empower the younger generation by creating opportunities for cultural participation, leadership and social awareness, particularly in addressing challenges such as drug abuse and loss of traditional identity. The foundation is also committed to supporting community welfare initiatives, including humanitarian assistance in times of natural disasters such as floods affecting Mising regions.


Through cultural festivals, talent platforms, heritage exhibitions and educational initiatives, the All India Mising Cultural Foundation envisions a united and progressive Mising community that proudly upholds its indigenous identity while contributing meaningfully to India’s diverse cultural landscape.

Our Programs

The All India Mising Cultural Foundation will organise cultural, artistic and social initiatives aimed at preserving, promoting and celebrating the rich heritage, traditions, language and indigenous knowledge of the Mising community across India. The foundation will undertake the following programs and activities:


  1. Abotani International Film Festival – A cultural film festival dedicated to promoting indigenous and tribal cinema that highlights the history, traditions and stories of the Tani and Mising communities.
  2. Mising National Film Awards (MINFA) – A national platform to recognise and honour filmmakers, artists and contributors who have significantly contributed to the development of Mising cinema and cultural storytelling.
  3. Ali Ayé Lígang Celebration of the Mising Community – Organising and promoting the traditional spring agricultural festival of the Mising community in different parts of India to strengthen cultural identity and community unity.
  4. Mising Handloom Exhibition – Showcasing traditional Mising handloom, weaving techniques and indigenous textile products to promote cultural craftsmanship and support local artisans.
  5. Mising Got Talent – A national talent platform to discover and encourage emerging talents in music, dance, cultural performance and other creative arts among Mising youth.
  6. Mising Idols (Singing Platform) – A cultural singing platform created to promote traditional and modern Mising music and to encourage young singers to showcase their musical abilities.
  7. Mising Songkí-So:yar (Dance Platform) – A dedicated cultural stage for promoting traditional dance forms and performance arts of the Mising community.
  8. Fund Drive for the Victims in Mising Flood-Affected Areas – Organising fundraising campaigns and humanitarian support initiatives to assist people affected by floods in Mising regions.
  9. Workshop to Revive Mising Traditional Folk Music – Conducting workshops, training sessions and cultural programs to revive and preserve traditional Mising folk music and musical instruments.
  10. Creation of a Marketing Platform for Tribal Herbal Products – Developing platforms to promote, market and create awareness about indigenous herbal products and traditional tribal knowledge systems.
  11. Youth Awareness Programs on Drugs and Narcotics – Organising both online and offline awareness campaigns among Mising youth to educate them about the dangers of drug abuse and narcotic substances and to promote a healthy and responsible community.


Through these initiatives, the All India Mising Cultural Foundation aims to strengthen cultural identity, encourage youth participation, preserve traditional knowledge and contribute to the overall cultural and social development of the Mising community across India.

Our Impact

The initiatives of the All India Mising Cultural Foundation will create a positive cultural and social impact by promoting and preserving the traditions, language, arts and heritage of the Mising community across India. Through programs such as the Abotani International Film Festival, Mising National Film Awards (MINFA), Ali Ayé Lígang celebrations, Mising Handloom Exhibitions, and talent platforms like Mising Got Talent, Mising Idols, and Mising Songkí-So:yar, the foundation will encourage cultural creativity and provide opportunities for artists and youth to showcase their talents.


In addition, the foundation will support community welfare through fund drives for flood-affected Mising, Tribal area and Backward areas of India, organise workshops to revive traditional Mising folk music, promote tribal herbal products, and conduct awareness programs among youth on drugs and narcotics. These initiatives will help strengthen cultural identity, empower youth and support the overall social and cultural development of the Mising community.

Mg. Monuranjan Doley serves as the Chief Advisor of the National Mising Cultural Society (NMCS), providing senior guidance and cultural direction to the organization. With his experience and knowledge, he supports the President and executive body in important decisions and helps ensure that the society remains committed to preserving Mising culture, traditions, and community values.


He upholds principles of cultural respect, discipline, unity, fairness, and ethical leadership, encouraging harmony within the community and guiding the society according to its aims and constitution. His role reflects wisdom, responsibility, and dedication to the cultural identity and future of the Mising people.

Mrs. Barkha Pegu serves as the President of the National Mising Cultural Society (NMCS), holding the highest leadership responsibility within the organization. As President, she leads the society with a strong commitment to the preservation, promotion, and development of Mising culture, heritage, language, and traditional values.

Mr. Krishna Pegu serves as the Vice President of the National Mising Cultural Society (NMCS), supporting the President in leading the organization and ensuring the smooth functioning of its activities. He plays an important role in strengthening cultural initiatives, organizational discipline, and community coordination.


He assists in major decisions, represents the society when required, and helps guide programs focused on preserving Mising culture, heritage, and unity. He upholds principles of responsibility, fairness, cultural respect, teamwork, and transparency, contributing to the society’s mission of community development and cultural preservation.

Mr. Bipul Mili serves as the General Secretary cum Publicity Secretary of the National Mising Cultural Society (NMCS), holding a central role in both the administrative management and public representation of the organization. He is responsible for coordinating official activities, maintaining records, implementing decisions of the executive body, and ensuring smooth internal communication within the society.


As Publicity Secretary, he leads the society’s public communication, including media relations, announcements, event promotion, and outreach initiatives. Through his efforts, the vision, cultural activities, and achievements of NMCS reach a broader audience, strengthening the organization’s presence and impact.


He upholds principles of discipline, transparency, accountability, cultural integrity, and effective leadership, contributing significantly to the organized growth and public visibility of the National Mising Cultural Society.

MG. ANANTA DOLEY serves as the Joint Secretary of the NATIONAL MISING CULTURAL SOCIETY (NMCS), supporting the General Secretary in the smooth administration and coordination of the organization. He assists in implementing decisions of the executive body and ensuring that all activities are conducted efficiently and in alignment with the society’s aims and constitution.

He plays an important role in communication, documentation, and coordination among members and committees, helping maintain discipline and organizational structure.

He upholds principles of responsibility, teamwork, transparency, commitment, and cultural respect, contributing to the effective functioning and steady growth of the NATIONAL MISING CULTURAL SOCIETY

Mr. Bimal Doley serves as the Treasury Secretary of the National Mising Cultural Society (NMCS), holding the responsibility of managing the financial affairs of the organization with integrity and accountability. He oversees the collection, maintenance, and proper utilization of funds in accordance with the society’s rules and objectives.


His duties include maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, ensuring transparency in transactions, and safeguarding the society’s assets. He works closely with the executive body to ensure that all financial activities support the cultural programs and developmental initiatives of NMCS.


He upholds principles of financial discipline, transparency, accountability, and ethical management, contributing to the stability and responsible growth of the National Mising Cultural Society..

MRS. BHAWANI DOLEY serves as the Cultural Secretary of the NATIONAL MISING CULTURAL SOCIETY (NMCS), leading the preservation and promotion of Mising culture, traditions, and artistic heritage. She plays a key role in organizing cultural programs, festivals, dance and music performances, and traditional events that reflect the identity of the Mising community.


She is responsible for planning and coordinating cultural activities, encouraging participation from artists and youth, and ensuring that all programs maintain authenticity and respect for traditional values.
She upholds principles of cultural integrity, creativity, unity, discipline, and community involvement, contributing significantly to the cultural strength and mission of the NATIONAL MISING CULTURAL SOCIETY.

Dr. Baby Madhabi Pegu serves as the Organisation Secretary of the National Mising Cultural Society (NMCS), playing a vital role in strengthening the internal structure and coordination of the organization. She is responsible for organizing activities, managing member coordination, and ensuring that the society functions efficiently according to its aims and constitution.


In her role, she supports the leadership in planning programs, expanding membership, and maintaining effective communication between committees and members. She works to build unity, discipline, and active participation within the organization.
Dr. Pegu upholds principles of organizational integrity, teamwork, accountability, cultural respect, and structured development, contributing to the steady growth and stability of the National Mising Cultural Society.
